September Playlist: Born Free, Built to Drive
Fuel your drive with the Engsta Rides September Playlist. Discover fresh tunes and our new Born Free tee for Labor Day weekend.

September has arrived, Labor Day weekend is calling, and your speakers deserve something better than the same handful of songs you’ve been skipping all summer.
At Engsta Rides, we believe a good drive deserves a good soundtrack. You know the feeling: you settle into the seat, get your music going, and suddenly that trip you weren’t particularly excited about starts looking a little better. The errands can wait another song. The scenic route sounds more appealing. And arriving somewhere halfway through a favorite track? Looks like you’re sitting in the driveway for another two minutes.
Our September Playlist is here for exactly those moments. This month’s selections bring plenty of attitude to the commute, the garage, and whatever you have planned for the long weekend.
Among this month’s tracks, you’ll find “All That Really Matters” by As The Structure Fails, “Only Fans” by The Pretty Wild, and “Do Not Disturb” by Halestorm.
If your current playlist has started feeling like background music in a waiting room, consider this your cue to change things up.
We like a soundtrack with some personality. Something that belongs alongside an engine starting, a garage door opening, and the anticipation of getting out for a drive. These are a few of the selections we’re sharing this month, and we want you to spend some time with the full playlist, find your favorites, and maybe discover something you’ll keep in rotation well into fall.
That’s part of the fun of sharing music. Someone introduces you to a song, you give it a chance, and before long you’re wondering how it wasn’t already on your playlist.
There’s something especially good about putting your keys on the counter at the beginning of a long weekend and knowing you have a little more time than usual.
Maybe you’ve got a road trip planned. Maybe you’re heading to a car meet, catching up with friends over a cookout, or finally spending some time on that project in the garage. And maybe your biggest plan is to get through the weekend without anyone saying, “Hey, since you’re off work, could you help me with something?”
We respect that plan, too.
Whatever your weekend looks like, get the music sorted before you head out. Our September Playlist is ready to keep you company, whether you’re crossing state lines or just making the ice run for the cookout.
Even a familiar route feels different when you’ve got something fresh playing. You don’t always need a big destination. Sometimes a little time behind the wheel and a few good songs are enough to make the afternoon.
We’re also heading into the holiday weekend with something new to wear.
Born Free, our all-new Engsta Rides T-shirt design, is available now to show your love for America this Labor Day weekend.
It’s an easy choice for a weekend of cookouts, car meets, and time with your favorite people. Throw it on with your go-to jeans or shorts, grab the keys, and you’re ready for whatever’s on the calendar.
As a veteran-owned small business built by father-and-son Marines, we’re proud to bring that American spirit into the Engsta Rides lineup. Born Free is our latest way to share it with the community that keeps showing up, supporting us, and making this brand their own.
And while Labor Day weekend is a great reason to debut it, you don’t have to put it away when Tuesday rolls around. Keep it in the rotation for the next garage hangout, weekend cruise, or everyday outing.
Check out Born Free in the Engsta Rides shop and make it part of your next drive.
For the People Who Enjoy the Drive
One of our favorite things about car culture is how many different ways people find their place in it.
Some of you spend the weekend polishing a car that’s already cleaner than most operating rooms. Others are chasing down a mysterious rattle, waiting on a part, or explaining why another project vehicle was a completely reasonable purchase.
Then there are the people who just want to wash the truck, put on some music, and get out of the house for a while.
You’re all welcome here.
The same goes for what’s parked in your driveway. Sports car, pickup, muscle car, import, daily driver, exotic, motorcycle or a project that’s almost ready—we love ALL rides. You don’t need a particular badge on the hood to appreciate a good drive.
Our playlists are another way to share that enjoyment. Put one on while you clean the wheels, organize the tools, or take a break and admire the thing you’ve spent far too much money maintaining. We understand. We’ve probably used the same justifications.
Summer might be winding down, but there’s still plenty of driving to enjoy. September brings another chance to make plans, discover some music, and spend time doing the things that make the workweek worthwhile.
Listen to the Engsta Rides September Playlist here on the blog, save it, and follow along for future playlists. Start with this month’s featured tracks, explore the rest, and let us know which songs earn a permanent spot in your rotation.
While you’re here, take a look at Born Free, our all-new T-shirt design, and show some love for America this Labor Day weekend.
And we want your input: What’s the one song you always want to hear when you get behind the wheel? Share it in the comments. Your recommendation might help shape a future Engsta Rides playlist.
Enjoy the long weekend. Make time for your people. And give yourself a reason to open that garage door.
Get out and drive. Never Lift.
Engsta Rides — We love ALL rides.
